Ferdi is a big fan of dancer Céline Deroux. Hij heeft tal van posters en andere merchandise van de ster verzameld, maar zijn passie raakt ontregeld zodra hij een plan opstelt om haar te ontmoeten.
He has collected loads of posters and other merch of the star, but his passion gets disrupted when he sets up a plan to meet her.
The story shows how a man succumbs to his obsessive thoughts; like a methodical stalker, Ferdi tries to get closer to his idol, which slowly but surely undermines his innocence as a fan. To do this, he disguises himself as a paparazzo; and that is how the short film got its name.
The project was completed within 20 weeks. This process highlighted the entire creative journey: from the initial idea, through the development of the script and storyboards, to the creation of an animatic, and finally the animation itself. During my research, I further developed my skills in both theory and visual arts.
The animation was screened for one evening at Filmhuis Zicht in Sittard.
